Who this covers

TerraShade is a website and a Discord bot run by @zatradegood. This policy describes what the site and the bot store. There is no account and no sign-in.

The website

The site does not set cookies, and it does not use a third-party analytics product.

Two values stay in your browser, and only there:

• ts-help in localStorage is set to 1 when the Help pointer on the heatmap is dismissed, so that pointer stays hidden on this browser.
• ts-intro in sessionStorage is set to 1 after the opening animation plays, so that animation does not play again in the same tab. It goes away when the tab closes.

Clearing site data for this site removes both. The server never reads them.

While a page is open, the browser sends a small heartbeat with the page path about once a minute. The server turns your IP address and browser string into a salted hash and stores that hash, the first time it was seen, the last time it was seen, and the last page. The raw IP is not kept in that record. A hash that has not been seen for 24 hours is deleted. When a stats file is configured, those hashes are saved; otherwise they live in memory and are gone when the process restarts.

Your IP is also kept in memory for about 10 minutes so the site can slow down a flood of requests. Those addresses are dropped after that window.

The Discord bot

The bot is invited with permission to send messages, embed links, and attach files. It does not read the server's message history.

For each server that uses it, TerraShade can save:

• The server's Discord ID, including a flag that the welcome note was already sent.
• The channel an admin chose for commands, with /terrashade-channel set.
• The watch list: each ticker, an optional price, and which alerts have already been sent.
• Autopost settings: the channel, the tickers, and which open and close cards already went out.
• The close-read setting: the channel that opted in with /closeread on.

Your Discord user ID is kept in memory for about 15 seconds after you run a book command (/gex, /vex, /cex, /surface, /levels, /flip, /compare, or /expiry), so the same person cannot run those back to back. That ID is not written to disk. It is dropped when the 15 seconds pass, or when the bot process restarts.

The bot does not sell this data. It uses the channel and ticker settings only to post in the server that set them.

How long it is kept

Server settings stay until an admin clears them or you ask for them to be deleted. Autopost's record of cards already sent is trimmed to today and the day before. Visit hashes are deleted after 24 hours without a new heartbeat. The in-memory user ID lasts about 15 seconds. The in-memory IP used for request limits lasts about 10 minutes.

How to remove it

An admin with Manage Server can clear that server's settings:

• /watch-admin remove drops one watch. /watch-admin clear drops every watch.
• /autopost remove drops one ticker. /autopost clear turns autopost off.
• /closeread off turns the daily close read off.
• /terrashade-channel clear forgets the chosen command channel.

Those commands do not clear the welcome flag. Kicking the bot, or removing it from the server, stops it from posting and from taking commands there. The kick itself does not erase the saved settings. Run the clear commands before you remove the bot if you still can. To delete everything saved for a server, including the welcome flag, contact @zatradegood on X or in the TerraShade Discord.

Browser values are removed by clearing this site's data in your browser.
